Precious Dots

It interested me, in New Zealand, just how much water there was. I know that sounds stupid, but this trip was before the 2010 floods back home, meaning at that point I had lived my entire life in drought conditions and rather extreme water restrictions - over here, even with the recent flooding, there's never huge evidence of just... water. Other than when it is flooded, but that's not usual.
Over there, however, when you fly into Auckland airport... well, when you're descending, you can see from one edge of the island to the other. There is ocean EVERYWHERE.
Then, it was raining 80% of the time we were there.
And there's lakes and rivers and waterfalls everywhere, and they all have clear/blue water, and they don't look like they're almost empty. O.o
